Square P.P. Ershova

The square of Petr Pavlovich Ershov was founded in 2007, in the year of the 420th anniversary of Tobolsk, by the opening of the monument to the famous author “The Little Humpbacked Horse”. People’s Artist of Russia, sculptor M.V. Pereyaslavets created an amazing image of a poet inextricably linked with Tobolsk, a city that inspired a young Siberian to create a wonderful fairy tale. It is no coincidence that the magic whale fish at the base of the sculpture bears the Tobolsk Kremlin.

Square P.P. Ershov is also decorated with park sculptures of fairy tale characters: the Tsar, the Fish-Whale fountain, the Firebird, Ivanushka with the Little Humpbacked Horse. Here everyone can plunge into the magical atmosphere of a fairy tale. Who knows, maybe inspiration will come to you, surrounded by Yershov’s heroes.
