The museum’s expositions will introduce you to the history of the 38th Tobolsk Infantry Regiment. The regiment operated as a military unit in the Russian Imperial Army from 1703 to 1917. On his account, more than 20 large-scale military campaigns; soldiers and officers of the regiment at various times participated in 35 major military battles. They fought with dignity with the Swedes at Poltava, fought with the army of Napoleon in the battles of Smolensk and Borodino, drove the French all the way to Paris and participated in the capture of Montmartre in 1814. Later, the regiment participated in the defense of Sevastopol from the Anglo-French, took part in the Russian-Turkish War of 1877-1878, and showed itself heroically in 1916 in the Brusilov breakthrough during the First World War.
