The Museum of Tobolsk Integrated Scientific Station of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences is located in the main house of the extant memorial manor of Alexander Alexandrovich Dunin-Gorkavich, the outstanding Siberian researcher who lived in the late 19th – early 20th centuries. The manor, which is a cultural monument of regional significance, is located in the upland part of the city. The museum displays reveal an interesting and important subject of Siberia learning and the role of Tobolsk as a center for complex studies of the region (the geographical, natural science, historical, and ethnographical ones). There is a unique collection of A.A. Dunin-Gorkavich’s personal belongings in his memorial study room.

The archaeological exposition of the rare artifacts of the V thous. century B.C.E. – XVI century A.D. shows the material and spiritual culture of the ancient and medieval population of Siberia.

The museum offers observation and themed excursions. A group visit is possible on weekends – prior booking required.
