St. Peter’s Church The Seven Youths of Ephesus is located in the Zavalny Cemetery of Tobolsk. The Church of the Holy Seven Youths of Ephesus was built in 1776. For a long time, the church was without a bell tower, it was added only in 1810.

It is surprising that the iconostasis of the beginning of the XIX century has been preserved in the church. The cast-iron floor, made in 1823 with donations from parishioners, is also unique.

The cemetery Church of the “Seven Youths of Ephesus” is the only one of all the churches of the Tyumen region, which was not closed during the difficult years of persecution.
In 1943, Archpriest Sergiy Simanovsky was appointed rector of the church, who immediately launched a vigorous activity to collect donations for the needs of the front.

In 1944, the Tobolsk Cemetery Church collected 110,600 rubles for the front. For this, the rector, Archpriest Sergiy Simanovsky received a telegram of thanks from I. V. Stalin “for expressing patriotic feelings”.

The church also has its own venerated shrines: the icon of the Mother of God of Pochaev; the icon of the Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon; the icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker of the XIX century.
