To the north of the Kremlin is a water tower built of red brick.

Such stylized water towers were built in Russia at the beginning of the XX century by the Moscow construction company “Neptune”. In Tobolsk, the tower was built in 1902 at the same time as the pumping station and is a 25-meter octagonal pillar. Expanded at the base, the lower tier is treated on all sides with small windows with massive relief lintels. The upper tiers are decorated with city belts, figured niches and on four sides are cut with slender pointed windows. In the tradition of such structures, the tower is crowned with stylized battlements.

The construction of the water tower in Tobolsk was the beginning of the creation of the city water supply system.
