The cathedral bell tower, 75 meters high, was built in 1797 according to the project of Fyodor Utkin under the direction of the Tobolsk stone craftsman Peter Savin.

The artistic forms of the bell tower are solved in the style of classicism. In 1809, the tower clock was placed in the upper tier of the bell tower.

Since 2007, the bell tower has housed a new tsar bell, the largest outside the Urals, weighing about 27 tons.
