Alexander Gavriilovich Abdulov – Soviet and Russian theater and film actor, film director, Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1986), People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1991).

Born May 29, 1953 in the city of Tobolsk, Tyumen Region, into a theatrical family. His father, Gavriil Danilovich Abdulov (March 25 (April 7) 1908 – February 24, 1980) was a director at the Tobolsk Drama Theater. In 1956 the Abdulov family moved to Fergana.

Since the early 1970s, Abdulov began acting in films. In total, he starred in 112 films.
In 2000, Alexander Abdulov made his directorial debut in feature films.
Alexander Gavriilovich Abdulov died on January 3, 2008 in Moscow.
